अपरे त्वब्रुवन् नागा धर्मात्मानो दयालव: । अबुद्धिरेषा भवतां ब्रह्महत्या न शोभनम्,यह सुनकर दूसरे धर्मात्मा और दयालु नागोंने कहा--'ऐसा सोचना तुम्हारी मूर्खता है। ब्रह्म-हत्या कभी शुभकारक नहीं हो सकती
apare tv abruvan nāgā dharmātmāno dayālavaḥ | abuddhir eṣā bhavatāṁ brahmahatyā na śobhanam ||
Nghe vậy, những Nāga khác—chính trực và giàu lòng trắc ẩn—lên tiếng: “Nghĩ như thế là ngu muội. Giết một Bà-la-môn không bao giờ là điều thích đáng, và chẳng thể đem lại điềm lành.”
