वे एक-एक बच्चेसे बोलते और जरिताको भी बारबार बुलाते, परंतु वे लोग उन मुनिसे भला या बुरा कुछ भी नहीं बोले
te ekaikaṃ bālakaṃ sambhāṣamāṇā jaritām api punaḥ punaḥ āhvayanti sma, kintu te janāḥ tasmin munau śubham aśubhaṃ vā kiñcid api na abruvan.
Họ lần lượt nói với từng đứa trẻ và còn gọi Jaritā hết lần này đến lần khác; nhưng đối với vị hiền sĩ ấy, họ không thốt ra lời nào—không thiện cũng chẳng ác. Cảnh ấy gợi một sự dè dặt: sự chăm nom dành cho kẻ yếu đuối, còn phán xét đối với bậc khổ hạnh thì bị giữ lại trong im lặng.
