उच्चैःश्रवसः वर्णविपणः तथा नागशापः
Uccaiḥśravas Color-Wager and the Nāga Curse
सौतिर्वाच नारायणवच: श्रुत्वा बलिनस्ते महोदथे: । तत् पय:ः सहिता भूयश्नचक्रिरे भूशभाकुलम्,उग्रश्रवाजी कहते हैं--शौनकजी! भगवान् नारायणका वचन सुनकर देवताओं और दानवोंका बल बढ़ गया। उन सबने मिलकर पुनः वेगपूर्वक महासागरका वह जल मथना आरम्भ किया और उस समस्त जलराशिको अत्यन्त क्षुब्ध कर डाला
sautir uvāca nārāyaṇavacaḥ śrutvā balinas te mahodadheḥ | tat payaḥ-sahitā bhūyaś cakrire bhūśa-bhākulam ||
Sauti nói: “Hỡi Śaunaka! Nghe lời của Nārāyaṇa, sức mạnh và ý chí của những bậc hùng cường ấy liền tăng trưởng. Rồi họ lại đồng tâm hiệp lực, bắt đầu khuấy biển cả với lực mới, làm cho toàn khối nước mênh mông rung động dữ dội.”
