उच्चैःश्रवसः वर्णविपणः तथा नागशापः
Uccaiḥśravas Color-Wager and the Nāga Curse
तमग्निममरश्रेष्ठ: प्रदहन्तमितस्तत: । वारिणा मेघजेनेन्द्र:ः शमयामास सर्वश:,तब देवराज इन्द्रने इधर-उधर सबको जलाती हुई उस आगको मेघोंके द्वारा जल बरसाकर सब ओरसे बुझा दिया
tam agnim amaraśreṣṭhaḥ pradahantam itas tataḥ | vāriṇā meghajenendraḥ śamayāmāsa sarvaśaḥ ||
Bấy giờ, Indra—vị tối thượng trong hàng bất tử—thấy ngọn lửa đang bùng cháy và nuốt trọn muôn phương, liền khiến mưa từ những đám mây đổ xuống, dập tắt nó hoàn toàn ở mọi phía.
