Dhaumya-varaṇa (Appointment of Dhaumya as Purohita) | धौम्यवरणम्
वसिष्ठ इति तस्यैतदृषेर्नाम त्वयेरितम् । एतदिच्छाम्यहं श्रोतुं यथावत् तद् वदस्व मे,“तुमने उन महर्षिका नाम वसिष्ठ बताया था। उनका यह नाम क्यों पड़ा? इसे मैं सुनना चाहता हूँ। तुम यथार्थ रूपसे मुझे बताओ
Vasiṣṭha iti tasyaitad ṛṣer nāma tvayeritam | etad icchāmy ahaṃ śrotuṃ yathāvat tad vadasva me ||
“Ngươi đã nói tên của vị hiền triết ấy là ‘Vasiṣṭha’. Ta muốn được nghe cho tường tận: vì sao ngài mang danh ấy—hãy nói cho ta đúng như sự thật.”
