आमन्त्य ब्राह्मा्ं पूर्वमभिवाद्यानुमान्य च । समैरुदड्मुखैर्मार्गर्यथोद्दिष्टं परंतपा:,परंतप! कुन्तीकुमारोंने पहले ही अपने आश्रयदाता ब्राह्मणसे पूछकर जानेकी आज्ञा ले ली थी और चलते समय बड़े आदरके साथ उन्हें प्रणाम किया। वे सब लोग उत्तर दिशाकी ओर जानेवाले सीधे मार्गोॉद्वारा उत्तराभिमुख हो अपने अभीष्ट स्थान पंचालदेशकी ओर बढ़ने लगे

Transliteration

āmantya brāhmān pūrvam abhivādyānumānya ca | samair udanmukhair mārgair yathoddiṣṭaṃ paraṃtapāḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana nói: Trước hết, các con trai của Kuntī đã xin phép từ biệt các bà-la-môn—đảnh lễ cung kính và nhận sự chuẩn thuận—rồi mới lên đường. Theo những con đường thẳng hướng về phương bắc như đã được chỉ dạy, những kẻ thiêu đốt quân thù ấy tiến bước về nơi họ hằng mong đến: xứ Pañcāla.
