lobhāt pracāraṃ caratas tāsu velāsu vai narān | upakrāntāni gṛhṇīmo rākṣasaiḥ saha bāliśān |
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Vì lòng tham, khi người đời lang thang vào những nơi chốn bị cấm trong những thời khắc ấy, thì chúng ta—cùng với bọn Rākṣasa—bắt giữ và giam lại những kẻ xâm nhập ngu muội đã dám bén mảng tới.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Greed (lobha) drives people to cross boundaries and act without discernment; such transgression invites predictable consequences—here, being seized by powerful beings. The verse underscores restraint and respect for limits as part of ethical conduct.
