Vasiṣṭhasya śokaḥ, Vipāśā–Śatadrū-nāmākaraṇam, Kalmāṣapādasya bhaya-prasaṅgaḥ (Ādi Parva 167)
The verse frames a human figure as an instrument of a larger divine design: actions ripen “in due time,” and personal choices and destinies can become causes of far-reaching fear and upheaval for entire lineages.
A brāhmaṇa speaker foretells that a certain woman (“sumadhyamā”) will later fulfill a divinely significant task, and that her role will become a direct cause of great alarm and danger for the Kauravas.
