संवरणस्य पतनं, सचिवोपचारः, वसिष्ठस्य सूर्योपगमनम्

एवं मां भगवान् व्यास: पुरा पौरवनन्दन । प्रोवाचासुकरप्रज्ञस्तस्मादेवं चिकीर्षितम्,पौरववंशको आनन्दित करनेवाले युधिष्ठिर! इस प्रकार पूर्वकालमें दुर्लभ विवेक- विज्ञानसे सम्पन्न भगवान् व्यासने मुझसे कहा था; इसीलिये मैंने ऐसी चेष्टा की है
evaṁ māṁ bhagavān vyāsaḥ purā pauravanandana | provācāsukaraprājñas tasmād evaṁ cikīrṣitam ||
Hỡi niềm vui của dòng Paurava, thuở xưa bậc tôn kính Vyāsa đã nói với ta như thế. Ngài, người có sự phân biệt hiếm có và tri kiến chân thật, đã chỉ dạy ta; vì vậy ta đã thực hiện con đường hành động này theo lời khuyên ấy.
