Kuntī–Yudhiṣṭhira Dialogue on Bhīma’s Mission
निर्वापयन्तो ज्वलनं ते जना ददृशुस्तत: । जातुषं तद् गृहं दग्धममात्यं च पुरोचनम्,आते ही वे (सब) लोग आग बुझानेमें लग गये। उस समय उन्होंने देखा कि सारा घर लाखका बना था, जो जलकर खाक हो गया। उसीमें मन्त्री पुरोचन भी जल गया था
nirvāpayanto jvalanaṃ te janā dadṛśus tataḥ | jātuṣaṃ tad gṛhaṃ dagdham amātyaṃ ca purocanam ||
Khi dân chúng vội vã dập lửa, họ liền thấy cả ngôi nhà—làm bằng sơn mài—đã bị thiêu rụi thành tro; và ngay trong đó, viên đại thần Purocana cũng bị cháy chết.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Schemes rooted in adharma—deception and attempted murder—carry inherent moral danger and often recoil upon the schemer; the narrative highlights the ethical contrast between treachery and righteous conduct.
After the fire breaks out, people try to put it out and discover that the lac-built house has completely burned down, and that the minister Purocana has perished in the blaze.
