स्वर्ग मनुजशार्दूल गच्छेयं सहिता त्वया । अपत्याय च मां गच्छ त्वमेव कुरुनन्दन,“नरश्रेष्ठ! मैं आपके साथ ही स्वर्गलोकमें चलूँगी। कुरुनन्दन! पुत्रकी उत्पत्तिके लिये आप ही मेरे साथ समागम कीजिये
svargaṁ manujaśārdūla gaccheyaṁ sahitā tvayā | apatyāya ca māṁ gaccha tvam eva kurunandana ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: “Hỡi bậc hùng tráng như hổ giữa loài người, thiếp chỉ lên cõi trời khi được cùng chàng. Và hỡi Kurunandana, vì việc sinh ra con nối dõi, chính chàng hãy kết hợp với thiếp.”
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse foregrounds the dharmic priority of sustaining lineage through rightful progeny and frames conjugal union as a duty tied to social order; it also stresses companionship—heaven itself is desired only together with the spouse.
A woman addresses a Kuru prince with two linked requests: that she will accompany him to heaven, and that he should unite with her so that a child may be born—placing the continuation of the family line at the center of the moment.
