एवमुक्ता तु सा देवी तथा चक्रे पतिव्रता । यथोक्तमेव तद्वाक्यं भद्रा पुत्रार्थिनी तदा,आकाशवाणीके यों कहनेपर पुत्रकी इच्छा रखनेवाली पतिव्रता भद्रादेवीने पतिकी पूर्वोक्त आज्ञाका अक्षरश: पालन किया
evamuktā tu sā devī tathā cakre pativratā | yathoktam eva tad vākyaṃ bhadrā putrārthinī tadā ||
Vaiśampāyana nói: Được bảo như thế, vị phu nhân cao quý ấy—kiên định trong bổn phận thủy chung của người vợ—đã làm đúng như lời. Khi ấy Bhadrā, khao khát có con trai, thi hành mệnh lệnh của chồng y như từng chữ đã nói ra.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights pativratā-dharma: disciplined fidelity and conscientious adherence to a spouse’s rightful instruction, framed within the ethical aims of household life (including the desire for progeny).
After being instructed, Bhadrā—desiring a son—acts accordingly and follows her husband’s words exactly, as Vaiśampāyana narrates.
