देवैर्विष्णोः शरणागमनम्—शिवलिङ्गस्थापनं, शिवसहस्रनामस्तवः, सुदर्शनचक्रप्रदानं च
त्वमेव भर्ता हर्ता च भोक्ता दाता जनार्दन हन्तुमर्हसि तस्मात्त्वं दानवान्दानवार्दन
tvameva bhartā hartā ca bhoktā dātā janārdana hantumarhasi tasmāttvaṃ dānavāndānavārdana
Hỡi Janārdana, chỉ riêng Ngài là Đấng nâng đỡ, Đấng thu hồi, Đấng thọ hưởng và Đấng ban phát. Vì vậy, hỡi Đấng nghiền nát Dānava, Ngài thật xứng đáng diệt trừ bọn Dānava—xin hãy làm như vậy.

Though addressed to Janārdana, the verse mirrors Shiva-tattva in Shaiva Siddhanta: Pati alone presides over creation’s functions and over the bestowal of bhoga and moksha; this supports the Purana’s broader current of Hari-Hara non-duality within the supreme Lordhead.
The verse highlights śaraṇāgati (taking refuge) and protective invocation—an inner limb of Pāśupata-aligned devotion where the pashu seeks Pati’s intervention to remove pasha-like hostile forces obstructing dharma and sādhana.
