It frames Linga-centered pilgrimage (kṣetra-sevā) as a Śakti-guided inquiry: Devī asks Śiva to restate the kṣetra’s guṇas, implying that knowing a holy site’s spiritual qualities supports proper bhakti, purity, and fruitful Linga-pūjā.
Śiva-tattva is hinted as supreme luminous presence: the grove is “endowed with supreme radiance,” reflecting Pati (Śiva) as the revealer whose prabhā sanctifies the kṣetra and draws the paśu (soul) toward clarity and devotion.
Kṣetra-mahātmyāśravaṇa—hearing and contemplating the greatness of a Śiva-kṣetra—is emphasized as a supportive sādhana for pilgrimage discipline and focused Linga-pūjā (preparatory to deeper Pāśupata-oriented purification).
