Shloka 76

ध्यानयज्ञः, संसार-विष-निरूपणम्, पाशुपतयोगः, परा-अपरा विद्या, चतुर्वस्था-विचारः (अध्यायः ८६)

मन्तव्यं चैव बोद्धव्यम् अहंकर्तव्यमेव च तथा चेतयितव्यं च वक्तव्यं मुनिपुङ्गवाः

mantavyaṃ caiva boddhavyam ahaṃkartavyameva ca tathā cetayitavyaṃ ca vaktavyaṃ munipuṅgavāḥ

Hỡi bậc hiền thánh tối thượng, hãy suy tư, hãy hiểu biết chân thật, hãy đảm đương bổn phận cho đúng, giữ tâm luôn tỉnh thức, rồi mới nói—để paśu (linh hồn bị trói) nhờ ý chí và lời nói được điều phục mà tiến về Pati, Đấng Chủ Tể.

It frames worship as beginning inwardly: right reflection, understanding, mindful intention, and restrained speech purify the paśu so that external Linga-puja becomes effective rather than merely ritualistic.
