Suta Goswami (narrating the teaching tradition of Śiva-jñāna within the Linga Purana discourse)
It frames Linga-centered practice as grounded in Śiva-jñāna: the devotee (paśu) receives grace (anugraha) and then practices correct recitation and contemplation, making worship a means to loosen pāśa (bondage) and approach Pati (Śiva).
Śiva-tattva is presented as “anuttama” (unsurpassed) knowledge, accessed not merely by outer ritual but by grace and right transmission, culminating in clear-minded inner assimilation of Śiva as Pati, the liberating Lord.
Correct mantra/śāstra recitation with proper svara (intonation) and ekānta-sādhana (solitary, focused practice) with a prasanna-dhī (tranquil intellect), aligning with Pāśupata-style discipline and inner purification.
