Shloka 169

उमामहेश्वरव्रतं—पञ्चाक्षरमन्त्रस्य माहात्म्यं, न्यासः, जपविधिः, सदाचारः, विनियोगः

गुरुर्देवो यतः साक्षात् तद्गृहं देवमन्दिरम् पापिना च यथासंगात् तत्पापैः पतनं भवेत्

gururdevo yataḥ sākṣāt tadgṛhaṃ devamandiram pāpinā ca yathāsaṃgāt tatpāpaiḥ patanaṃ bhavet

Vì Guru thật là thần linh hiển hiện, nên nơi ở của Guru chính là đền thờ Thượng Đế. Nhưng nếu kết giao với kẻ tội lỗi theo sự giao du ấy, người ta sẽ sa đọa—bị kéo xuống bởi chính những tội nghiệp của kẻ kia.
