FAQs

It links Linga-abhisheka and proper pūjā with dāna—feeding Veda-qualified śrotriyas—showing that Shiva worship is completed by both devotion to Pati (Shiva) and compassionate support of dharma.

Shiva-tattva is honored through disciplined vidhi (right ritual order) and inner purity; the verse implies that approaching Pati is not merely personal devotion but a dharmic act that loosens pasha through sanctified action and offering.

A Pūrṇimā observance featuring abhiṣeka with ghee-like substances, followed by feeding śrotriya Brahmanas—an external puja-vidhi that supports the sādhaka’s purification (aiding Pāśupata-oriented restraint and sattva).
