Adhyaya 70: आदिसर्गः—महत्-अहङ्कार-तन्मात्रा-भूतसृष्टिः, ब्रह्माण्डावरणम्, प्रजासर्गः, त्रिमूर्ति-शैवाधिष्ठानम्

अनुपृक्तावभूतां ताव् ओतप्रोतौ परस्परम् गुणसाम्ये लयो ज्ञेयो वैषम्ये सृष्टिरुच्यते

anupṛktāvabhūtāṃ tāv otaprotau parasparam guṇasāmye layo jñeyo vaiṣamye sṛṣṭirucyate

Hai thực thể ấy—Prakṛti (trường của các guṇa) và Puruṣa (nguyên lý ý thức nội tại)—đan quyện vào nhau như sợi dọc sợi ngang. Khi các guṇa quân bình, phải hiểu là laya (tan rã); khi chúng bất bình, sṛṣṭi (sáng tạo) được tuyên là khởi sinh.
