Linga Purana — Purva Bhaga, Shloka 139

FAQs

It frames creation as an ordered projection arising from contemplation and buddhi under the Lord (Pati), supporting Linga worship as reverence to the conscious source behind all manifestation, not merely the manifested forms.

Shiva-tattva is implied as the sovereign Pati who manifests the cosmos cyclically (kalpa after kalpa) through conscious intention; creation is not accidental but proceeds from deliberate awareness and governing intelligence.

Abhidhyāna (contemplative meditation) is emphasized—aligned with Pashupata-oriented inward practice where focused awareness precedes transformation, mirroring how cosmic sarga proceeds from intention.
