mahatī devatā yā sā mahataścāpi suvrata tasmāttvayā mahābhāga cyāvaneya sadā hyaham
Vị Thần linh vĩ đại ấy thật sự là “Đại”, chính là Đại Tính tối thượng, hỡi người giữ giới nguyện thanh cao. Vì thế, hỡi bậc hữu phúc—hậu duệ của Cyavana—Ta luôn được tiếp cận qua ngươi (như phương tiện dẫn đạo).
Suta Goswami (narrating an internal teaching/tradition line)
It frames the Supreme Deity (Shiva, the Mahat) as the ultimate object of worship, while indicating that approach to Him is mediated through an authorized channel—implying disciplined transmission (guru/ṛṣi lineage) that culminates in proper Linga-upāsanā.
Shiva is indicated as “the Great” (Mahat) beyond ordinary devatās—Pati, the supreme principle whose greatness is not derivative, but the very source and measure of divinity.
It points to lineage-based upāya: receiving the method through a qualified transmitter (ṛṣi/guru), consistent with Pāśupata orientation where the Pashu approaches Pati via prescribed discipline rather than mere impulse.
