Upamanyu’s Tapas, Shiva’s Indra-Form Test, and the Bestowal of Kshiroda and Gaṇapatya

सो ऽपि लब्ध्वा वरं तस्याः कुमारत्वं च सर्वदा तुष्टाव च महादेवं हर्षगद्गदया गिरा

so 'pi labdhvā varaṃ tasyāḥ kumāratvaṃ ca sarvadā tuṣṭāva ca mahādevaṃ harṣagadgadayā girā

Nhận được ân ban của Nữ Thần—rằng nàng sẽ mãi ở trong tuổi xuân thiếu nữ—người ấy cũng tán dương Mahādeva, giọng run lên vì hoan hỷ. Theo Shaiva, quả của ân sủng (anugraha) viên mãn trong lời stuti và sự quy phục nơi Pati, Đấng tháo gỡ sợi dây paśa của giới hạn.
