Upamanyu’s Tapas, Shiva’s Indra-Form Test, and the Bestowal of Kshiroda and Gaṇapatya

एवमुक्त्वा महादेवः कराभ्यामुपगृह्य तम् आघ्राय मूर्धनि विभुर् ददौ देव्यास्तदा भवः

evamuktvā mahādevaḥ karābhyāmupagṛhya tam āghrāya mūrdhani vibhur dadau devyāstadā bhavaḥ

Nói xong, Mahādeva—Bhava, Đấng Chúa tể thấm khắp—đỡ lấy người ấy bằng cả hai tay, khẽ hít lấy hương nơi đỉnh đầu, rồi đặt người ấy lên vương miện của Nữ Thần, xác chứng ân quyền tối thượng của Śiva trong sự hợp nhất Śiva–Śakti.
