मदनदाहः — पार्वतीतपः, स्वयंवरलीला, देवस्तम्भनं, दिव्यचक्षुर्दानम्
आस्थाय रूपं यत्सौम्यं समेष्ये ऽहं सह त्वया इत्युक्त्वा तां समालोक्य देवो दिव्येन चक्षुषा
āsthāya rūpaṃ yatsaumyaṃ sameṣye 'haṃ saha tvayā ityuktvā tāṃ samālokya devo divyena cakṣuṣā
Mang lấy hình tướng hiền hòa cát tường, vị Deva nói: “Ta sẽ kết hợp cùng nàng.” Nói xong, Ngài nhìn nàng bằng nhãn lực thiêng liêng.

By stressing Shiva’s “saumya-rūpa” (benign, auspicious form) and divine vision, the verse supports the Linga as a merciful, accessible manifestation of Pati (Shiva) for the uplift of the pashu (bound soul).
It presents Shiva as the Deva who freely assumes forms (rūpa-grahaṇa) and who knows through divya-cakṣus (transcendent perception), indicating lordship beyond ordinary senses and beyond pasha (bondage).
