Shloka 44

अध्याय १०१: हैमवती-तपः, तारकवंश-उत्पातः, स्कन्द-प्रत्याशा, मदनदहनम्

यदा विष्णुश् च भविता वासुदेवो महायशाः शापाद्भृगोर्महातेजाः सर्वलोकहिताय वै

yadā viṣṇuś ca bhavitā vāsudevo mahāyaśāḥ śāpādbhṛgormahātejāḥ sarvalokahitāya vai

Khi do lời nguyền mạnh mẽ của bậc đại quang huy Bhṛgu, Viṣṇu—đấng lừng danh rộng lớn—hiển lộ thành Vāsudeva, thì quả thật là vì lợi ích an lạc của muôn thế giới. Người trí biết rằng: những cuộc giáng hiện ấy diễn ra dưới quyền chủ tể của Pati, Śiva, Đấng biến cả lời nguyền thành phương tiện vì loka-hita và để nới lỏng sợi pasha trói buộc các hữu tình mang thân.
