Ānakadundubhi is Vasudeva, Lord Krishna’s father, referred to by this epithet in the Bhagavatam.
In the anxious atmosphere after Krishna’s disappearance, Arjuna inquires about the welfare of Krishna’s close relatives and elders in the Yadu/Vṛṣṇi family line.
It highlights dharma through concern for elders and family well-being—checking on relatives, especially seniors, as a sincere duty and expression of care.
