यदि वीरो महाराज तेनैव त्वां यजे इति । तथेति वरुणेनास्य पुत्रो जातस्तु रोहित: ॥ ९ ॥
yadi vīro mahārāja tenaiva tvāṁ yaje iti tatheti varuṇenāsya putro jātas tu rohitaḥ
Tâu Đại vương, Hariścandra khẩn cầu Varuṇa: “Nếu con sinh được một người con trai dũng mãnh, chính với người con ấy con sẽ cử hành tế lễ để làm đẹp lòng Ngài.” Varuṇa đáp: “Hãy như vậy.” Nhờ ân phúc của Varuṇa, ông sinh được con trai tên Rohita.
