Śrāddhadeva Manu’s Sons: Pṛṣadhra’s Curse and Renunciation; Genealogies of Nariṣyanta and Diṣṭa
Dhanada refers to Kuvera, famed as the bestower of wealth; this verse states he was begotten by the sage Viśravā.
It emphasizes paramparā—supreme knowledge is bestowed through an authorized lineage, here described as Viśravā giving the highest vidyā to his son as he had received it from his father.
Seek learning through authentic sources and teachers, valuing disciplined spiritual instruction over mere information—just as the ‘supreme knowledge’ is transmitted carefully in a lineage.
