कण्वा इव भृगवः सूर्या इव विश्वमिद्धीतमानशुः । इन्द्रं स्तोमेभिर्महयन्त आयवः प्रियमेधासो अस्वरन्

IAST Transliteration

káṇvā iva bhṛ́gavaḥ sū́ryā iva víśvam íd dhītám ānaśuḥ | índraṃ stómebhir maháyanta ā́yavaḥ priyámédhāso asvaran ||

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Like Kaṇvas, like Bhṛgus, like suns, they won, in very truth, the whole of sacred thought. Exalting Indra with their lauds, the Āyavas, of pleasing wisdom, lifted up their song.

Translation

Như các Kaṇva, như các Bhṛgu, như những mặt trời—quả thật họ đã giành được trọn vẹn tư tưởng thiêng. Tôn vinh Indra bằng các lời tụng ca, những Āyava có trí tuệ đáng mến đã nâng cao tiếng hát và cất lên.
