sarvabhūtasthite tasmin matir maitrī divāniśam bhavatāṃ jāyatām evaṃ sarvakleśān prahāsyatha

This verse presents Vishnu as the indwelling Lord of every creature, making compassion and reverence toward all life a direct form of devotion to Him.
He instructs constant (day-and-night) mind-fixation on the Lord within all beings, expressed outwardly as maitrī—benevolent friendliness—leading to the dissolution of afflictions.
Vishnu is affirmed as the Supreme Reality pervading all, so devotion is not merely ritual but a transformed vision of the world where suffering loses its hold.
