पुलस्त्य उवाच एतत्ते कथयिष्यामि पार्वत्याः संभवं मुने शृणुष्वावहितो भूत्वा स्कन्दोत्पत्तिं च शाश्वतीम्

پلستیہ نے کہا—اے مُنی، میں تمہیں پاروتی کے ظہور کا حال سناؤں گا۔ توجہ سے سنو، اور اس کے ساتھ اسکند (سکند) کی پیدائش کا ابدی بیان بھی (عرض کروں گا)۔
