ग्रन्थमभ्यस्य मेधावी ज्ञानविज्ञानतत्परः । पलालमिव धान्यार्थी त्यजेद्ग्रन्थमशेषतः ॥१८॥

IAST Transliteration

grantham abhyasya medhāvī jñānavijñānatatparaḥ | palālam iva dhānyārthī tyajed grantham aśeṣataḥ ||18||

Translation

گرنتھ کا مطالعہ کر کے، جو ذہین شخص گیان اور انبھَو میں تَتپر ہو، اسے گرنتھ کو پوری طرح چھوڑ دینا چاہیے—جیسے اناج چاہنے والا بھوسا چھوڑ دیتا ہے۔۱۸

Academic Translation

Having studied the text, the intelligent one—devoted to knowledge and realization—should abandon the text entirely, like one seeking grain (abandons) the chaff.
