शिवनाम्नि महद्भक्तिर्जाता येषां महात्मनाम् । तद्विधानां तु सहसा मुक्तिर्भवति सर्वथा
śivanāmni mahadbhaktirjātā yeṣāṃ mahātmanām | tadvidhānāṃ tu sahasā muktirbhavati sarvathā
جن عظیمُ الروح لوگوں کے دل میں شِو کے نام کی گہری بھکتی جاگ اٹھتی ہے، وہ اس مقدّس ودھان کے انُشٹھان سے فوراً اور ہر طرح سے مکتی پا لیتے ہیں۔

Sthala Purana: Kāśī’s teaching is framed as ‘swift liberation’ (sahasā mukti) through devotion to Śiva-nāma—echoing the Avimukta idea that Śiva personally guides the soul to release.
Significance: Promises rapid progress toward mokṣa through nāma-bhakti; supports the kṣetra’s fame as a place of anugraha where liberation is near at hand.

It teaches that wholehearted bhakti centered on Śiva’s Name is itself a direct means to moksha; when devotion becomes mature and unwavering, liberation is said to arise swiftly by Śiva’s grace.
In Vidyeśvara-oriented teaching, nāma-japa (remembrance of Śiva’s Name) supports Saguna worship such as Liṅga-pūjā; both focus the mind on Pati (Śiva) and loosen pāśa (bondage), culminating in release.
Regular japa of Śiva’s Name—especially the Pañcākṣarī mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with steady devotion; it may be paired with simple Shaiva observances like bhasma (tripuṇḍra) and rudrākṣa as supportive disciplines.
