Suta Goswami
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Significance: Models dharmic hospitality (atithi-satkāra) as a preparatory virtue for receiving Śiva’s grace; the king’s humility and the sage’s honoring are framed as puṇya that ripens into anugraha in later narrative movement.
Offering: naivedya
It highlights dharma expressed as compassion and humility, where honoring a realized sage with respectful speech and hospitality becomes a purifying act that supports bhakti and inner refinement on the Shaiva path.
In Shaiva tradition, service to Shiva’s devotees and saints is treated as service to Saguna Shiva Himself; honoring the sage complements formal Linga-worship by cultivating devotion, reverence, and right conduct.
The practical takeaway is sadhu-seva—offering a seat, food (anna-dāna), and gentle truthful speech—performed with a devotional attitude as part of daily Shaiva observance.
