Tattva Level: pashu
It teaches discernment in sacred study: the Purāṇas transmit dharma and Shiva-tattva without needless repetition, pointing the seeker to the essential meaning rather than mere length of narration.
By acknowledging well-known Itihāsa material, the text keeps focus on Shiva-centered upāsanā and siddhānta—encouraging devotees to take supportive narratives as context while concentrating on Shiva’s worship and liberation-teachings.
Study (svādhyāya) with japa: read the referenced story briefly, then return to steady practice such as Panchākṣarī mantra-japa (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and Shiva-smaraṇa, prioritizing inner assimilation over exhaustive retelling.
