Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Īśāna
Type: rudram
Offering: pushpa
It teaches ordered worship (krama) of the Pañcabrahma—Shiva’s fivefold revelatory powers—showing that devotion is strengthened when the mind honors divine presence in all directions, centering awareness on Pati (Shiva) as the inner Lord.
The verse supports saguna-upāsanā through ritual placement: the five Brahma-aspects are honored around the sacred center (commonly the Linga), expressing that the one Shiva manifests as multiple functional aspects while remaining non-dual at the core.
Perform a directional (dik) and mandala-style worship: arrange the Pañcabrahma in a circular layout and offer pūjā sequentially, using mantra and offerings with steady attention—treating the directions as sanctified fields of Shiva’s presence.
