Mantra 1
आपो हि ष्ठा मयोभुवस्ता न ऊर्जे दधातन महे रणाय चक्षसे
Waters, for ye are the sources of delight; do ye bestow upon us nourishment, (and) great joy, and (sound) sight.

यो वः शिवतमो रसस्तस्य भाजयतेह नः उशतीरिव मातरः
Of you, (O Waters), whatever is the most auspicious essence, of that do ye here make us partakers, like affectionate mothers.

त्वं हि वृत्रहन्नेषां पाता सोमानामसि उप नो हरिभिः सुतम्
For thou, O slayer of Vṛtra, art verily the drinker of these Soma-juices; come near unto us with thy bay steeds, to the expressed libation.
