Description of the Pushpaka Vimana and Ravana’s Inner Palace
न तत्र काचित्प्रमदा प्रसह्य वीर्योपपन्नेन गुणेन लब्धा।न चान्यकामापि न चान्यपूर्वा विना वरार्हां जनकात्मजां ताम्।।5.9.70।।
na tatra kācit pramadā prasahya vīryopapannena guṇena labdhā |
na cānyakāmāpi na cānyapūrvā vinā varārhāṃ janakātmajāṃ tām ||5.9.70||
وہاں کوئی بھی عورت محض جبر سے حاصل نہ کی گئی تھی؛ وہ تو شجاعت اور اوصاف کے سبب پائی گئی تھیں۔ نہ کوئی دوسری کی طرف مائل تھی، نہ کسی کا پہلے کسی اور سے تعلق رہا تھا—سوائے اس قابلِ تعظیم جنک کی دختر، سیتا کے۔
Hanuman once again assuming his true form said to himself, 'Sita is surely a virtuous lady superior to and more distinguished than them all. Alas, this lord of Lanka committed an ignoble, act (by abducting her).ityārṣē śrīmadrāmāyaṇē vālmīkīya ādikāvyē sundarakāṇḍē navamassargaḥ.Thus ends the ninth sarga of Sundarakanda of the holy Ramayana, the first epic composed by sage Valmiki.
It highlights the special gravity of Sītā’s abduction: against accepted norms of consent and rightful union, she is taken unlawfully—making Rāvaṇa’s act a clear violation of dharma and satya.
Hanumān distinguishes Sītā from the other women in the palace: whatever their origins, Sītā alone is explicitly marked as forcibly taken and uniquely wronged.
Hanumān’s commitment to truth (satya): he carefully discriminates facts and moral meaning rather than making a blanket judgment.
