सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तत स्सीतामपश्यंस्तु रावणस्य निवेशने।शोकसागरमासाद्य न पारमुपलक्षये।।।।
tataḥ s-sītām apaśyaṃs tu rāvaṇasya niveśane |
śoka-sāgaram āsādya na pāram upalakṣaye ||
پھر راون کے محل میں سیتا کو نہ پا کر میں غم کے سمندر میں ڈوب گیا؛ اس کا کنارا مجھے دکھائی نہ دیا، گویا کوئی انتہا ہی نہیں۔
