सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तां हत्वा पुनरेवाहं कृत्यमात्ययिकं स्मरन्।गत्वा चाह महध्वानं पश्यामि नगमण्डितम्।।।।दक्षिणं तीरमुदधेर्लङ्का यत्र च सा पुरी।
tāṃ hatvā punar evāhaṃ kṛtyam ātyayikaṃ smaran | gatvā cāha mahādhvānaṃ paśyāmi nagamaṇḍitam ||
dakṣiṇaṃ tīram udadher laṅkā yatra ca sā purī |
اُسے قتل کرکے میں نے پھر اپنا فوری اور ضروری فریضہ یاد کیا۔ اُس عظیم سفر پر آگے بڑھ کر میں نے سمندر کے جنوبی کنارے کو دیکھا جو پہاڑوں سے آراستہ تھا—وہیں جہاں لنکا کی نگری قائم ہے۔
