Commencement of the Ocean-Crossing
bhūyaś cordhvaṃ gatiṃ prāpya giriṃ tam avalokayan | vāyu-sūnur nirālambe jagāma vimale ’mbare ||
Rising higher and further up and looking at the mountain (which was going down into the ocean), the son of the Wind-god coursed through the cloudless sky unsupported.
Dharma is perseverance in a righteous undertaking—progressing onward even when there is no ‘support’ except one’s integrity and commitment.
Hanumān continues his aerial journey over the ocean, leaving the mountain behind and moving into open sky.
Fearless endurance (dhairya) paired with awareness—he remains focused yet observant of what he has passed.
