Lakshmana Enters Kishkindha: Anger, Tara’s Mediation, and Sugriva Encountered
अङ्गदेन समाख्यातं ज्यास्वनेन च वानरः।बुबुधे लक्ष्मणं प्राप्तं मुखं चास्यव्यशुष्यत।।।।
aṅgadēna samākhyātaṃ jyāsvanena ca vānaraḥ | bubudhē lakṣmaṇaṃ prāptaṃ mukhaṃ cāsya vyaśuṣyata ||
انگد کی خبر اور کمان کی ڈور کی ٹنکار سے وہ بندرراج سمجھ گیا کہ لکشمن آ پہنچے ہیں؛ اور خوف سے اس کا منہ خشک ہو گیا۔
As proclaimed by Angada and also from the sound of the twang, Sugriva knew about the arrival of Lakshmana. His mouth parched (with fear).
Conscience as a moral signal: physical fear reflects inner recognition of neglected duty and the urgency to rectify it.
Sugrīva receives confirmation of Lakṣmaṇa’s arrival through message and sound, and reacts with visible anxiety.
Sensitivity to dharmic obligation: Sugrīva immediately grasps the seriousness of the moment.
