Though Rama was residing in comfort on the mountain richly endowed with many pleasant things, he experienced little happiness.
Dharma prioritizes fidelity over comfort: Rama’s heart does not accept enjoyment when his righteous duty to recover Sītā remains unfulfilled.
After reaching a pleasant dwelling place, the narration reveals Rama’s inability to feel happiness.
Loyalty and moral seriousness—Rama refuses inner indulgence while the wrong (Sītā’s abduction) persists.
