Sugriva’s Remorse and Tara’s Lament after Vali’s Death
अंहो बतेदं नृवराविषह्यंनिवर्तते मे हृदि साधुवृत्तम्।विवर्णमग्नौ परितप्यमानंकिट्टं यथा राघव जातरूपम्।।
aṃho batedaṃ nṛvara aviṣahyaṃ nivartate me hṛdi sādhuvṛttam |
vivarṇam agnau paritapyamānaṃ kiṭṭaṃ yathā rāghava jātarūpam ||
ہائے افسوس، اے نرور! یہ کرب ناقابلِ برداشت ہے: میرے دل میں جو سادھو ورت (نیک چلن) تھا وہ پیچھے ہٹتا جاتا ہے، جیسے آگ میں تپتے ہوئے روشن سونے کو کِٹّ (میل/کھوٹ) دبا دیتا ہے۔
