समर्थो नास्मि ते दातुं युद्धं युद्धविशारद।श्रूयतां चाभिधास्यामि यस्ते युद्धं प्रदास्यति4.11.11।।
samartho nāsmi te dātuṃ yuddhaṃ yuddhaviśārada | śrūyatāṃ cābhidhāsyāmi yas te yuddhaṃ pradāsyati ||
اے جنگ کے ماہر! میں تجھے جنگ دینے کے قابل نہیں؛ مگر سن—میں تجھے بتاتا ہوں کہ کون ہے جو تجھے وہ جنگ عطا کرے گا جس کی تو طلب رکھتا ہے۔
'You are proficient in warfare. I am not competent enough to challenge you to a duel. But I will name the one who can.
Dharma includes knowing one’s proper role and limits: the Ocean refuses an improper duel yet speaks truthfully and directs the aggressor toward an appropriate opponent.
The Ocean declines the demon’s challenge and indicates he will name someone else who can fight him.
Discernment and restraint—strength governed by dharma rather than provocation.
