प्रसङ्गः / Genealogy of the Kuśika Line and the Kausikī River

evam uktvā kuśo rāma kuśanābhaṃ mahīpatim |
jagāma ākāśam āviśya brahmalokaṃ sanātanam ||
"Highly illustrious Viswamitra, you are similar to Brahma. Among the rivers, Kausiki is the best, refurbishing the image of your dynasty".
The verse links dharma and spiritual merit with higher destinies: righteous life and truth-aligned conduct culminate in elevated states (symbolized by Brahmaloka).
Viśvāmitra continues the genealogy narrative, describing Kūśa’s departure after blessing Kūśanābha.
Spiritual accomplishment and renunciation—Kūśa’s capacity to depart to Brahmaloka implies exceptional tapas and purity.
