ऋष्यशृङ्गानयनम् — Bringing Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Ayodhyā
Bālakāṇḍa, Sarga 11
अन्त:पुरं प्रवेश्यैनं पूजां कृत्वा च शास्त्रत:।कृतकृत्यं तदात्मानं मेने तस्योपवाहनात्।।1.11.28।।
antaḥpuraṁ praveśyainaṁ pūjāṁ kṛtvā ca śāstrataḥ |
kṛtakṛtyaṁ tad ātmānaṁ mene tasyopavāhanāt ||1.11.28||
اُسے اندرونِ محل میں لے جا کر، شاستروں کے مطابق اس کی پوجا کی؛ اور اس کو وہاں پہنچا دینے سے راجا نے اپنے آپ کو کِرتَکِرتیہ، یعنی کامروا و مکمل، سمجھا۔
He (king Dasaratha) took him in to the inner apartment and extended welcome. He thought that he has as enjoined by the sastras accomplished his objective by bringing him (Rsyasringa).
Dharma as śāstra-niyama: right action is performed in the right way—ritual honour and conduct aligned with scriptural injunctions.
Daśaratha receives R̥śyaśṛṅga within the palace, performs proper honours, and feels his mission has succeeded.
Daśaratha’s conscientiousness—he seeks legitimacy and auspiciousness through correct traditional procedure.
