Rāma’s Lament in Separation from Sītā

O gentle one ! you are wandering in the karnikara garden, laughing and making fun. Enough of this , that causes my pain.
Maryādā (propriety) is central: the hermitage is a sacred space where conduct should match its sanctity; dharma includes honoring place and context.
Rāma notices the hut is empty and calls Sītā to return, marking a shift from playful assumption toward alarming realization.
Respect for sacred norms—Rāma upholds the decorum of āśrama-life even while distressed.
