तां जहार सुसंहृष्टो रावणो मृत्युमात्मनः।।।।उत्सङ्गेनेव भुजगीं तीक्ष्णदंष्ट्रां महाविषाम्।
tāṃ jahāra susaṃhṛṣṭo rāvaṇo mṛtyum ātmanaḥ |
utsaṅgena iva bhujagīṃ tīkṣṇadaṃṣṭrāṃ mahāviṣām ||
راون نہایت مسرور ہو کر اُسے لے اُڑا—حالانکہ وہی اس کی اپنی موت تھی—جیسے کوئی شخص تیز دانتوں والی، نہایت زہریلی مادہ سانپنی کو گود میں اٹھا لے۔
The best among the tawney-eyed monkeys gazed, without blinking, at the large-eyed Sita lamenting.
Unrighteous desire blinds one to consequences; adharma carries its own punishment, becoming the very cause of downfall.
Rāvaṇa rejoices while abducting Sītā, unaware she is the catalyst of his destruction.
