Entry into Agastya’s Hermitage and the Gift of Divine Weapons

Having said so, the mighty-armed Rama, the scorcher of enemies, grasped the feet of Agastya who was shining like the Sun.
Dharma requires honoring elders and spiritual teachers; touching the feet signifies surrender of ego and acknowledgment of higher moral/spiritual attainment.
Rāma physically shows reverence to Agastya upon meeting him at the hermitage.
Rāma’s humility and devotion to dhārmic etiquette toward sages.
